How to Make Jewelry Crates

 Wooden Crate Jewelry Displays

If you are a jewelry designer, crafter, or retailer, your jewelry collection is constantly evolving. With the ever changing collections, displaying your jewelry effectively is extremely important. Continuing to stay fresh and on-trend can be a challenge, so the objective is to present your jewelry in the most eye catching way possible. We want to show you how quick and easy it is to transform our Set of 4 Nested Crates into something extravagant for your jewelry

To create these displays you will need:
1 set of 4 nested wood crates (SKU 68301)

Spray paint or acrylic/latex paint (we used flat spray paint one can for each crate. The white we left the inside unfinished) 7/8" brass cup hooks (these can be purchased at any hardware store or discount department store) 3/16" drill bit (this is the size we used for the 7/8" brass hooks.)

The nesting crates are unfinished pine wood and are ready to paint or stain. We spray painted the three smallest crates, leaving the largest size out. Allow them to dry completely, then pre-drill holes on each side. Hand screw the brass hooks into the pre-drilled holes, 3 hooks on each side for a total of 6 hooks. However, you can use as many as you would like. Next, add your jewelry. You can string the jewelry across the inside of the crates as we did on the smallest two sizes. For the third size, we hung the jewelry on the hooks vertically and across the inside of the crate.

Try different finishes like a crackle or wood stain, or try using sand paper after painting for a distressed/antique look. You can also add a contrasting color of paint to the inside of the crate. We also included free standing jewelry displays from our wood collections (SKU 55556 and 55539) and boutique linen collection (SKU 55716). You are only limited by your imagination!
